X-Men 155 was the first X-Men comic I ever bought -- off the newsstand at my local candy store! I clearly remember arguing with my best friend, who had turned me on to the X-Men and was a huge Colossus fan, that Colossus couldn't possibly survive the wound he received at the end of the issue. [Spoiler alert: he did.]
I recently found the comic for sale in a nearby antique store. Tempting but the guy wanted like $25 for it and it just isn't worth that much.
Thanks for such a great, in-depth look at the X-Men and your personal history with them! I found it fascinating. Also, I loved those trading cards. XD Scott Cederlund recently concluded a deep dive at From Cover to Cover called My Claremont Year. Have you read that? I think you’d enjoy it.
Admittedly the Claremont run is my biggest hole in my Marvel knowledge/reading. The X-Men often feel impenetrable, do you have a site that guides you through reading order, etc., that you like?
Love it when you delve into comics and books and more. I have The Claremont Run in my giant stack of books. Maybe next summer is the time - I'm off (teacher) and can pull up the issues on Marvel Unlimited as I read the book.
I am 100% ready for your Sovereign Seven deep dive.

Petition to add a character named “Soft Prequel” in your next Star Wars project
Love the Dick Tracy preview -- Geraldo is fantastic!
