Also, someone who spelled Legion of Super-Heroes right! (Must be all those years working at DC.) And you weren't the only one who was fascinated when Dave Cockrum took over the Legion --the shift from Silver to Bronze was seismic at the time.
I am confused by how little of the Cockrum run is collected! I dove into the SUPERBOY AND THE LEGION HCs and was bummed to see they start AFTER his run ends.
The SUPERBOY AND THE LEGION HCs pick up after the LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES ARCHIVES leave off. Cockrum's whole Legion run is collected in Vol. 10. The sad truth is, he wasn't there that long (although it felt longer at the time because it wasn't a monthly book) before he got in a fight with Carmine Infantino and quit.
