Our DIY superhero story continues - and we introduce a terrifying new villain
Hey friends! Here we go! Chapter Three of The Forgotten Five is right here for paid patrons at the TFF Patreon!
Wait, what is The Forgotten Five, you ask? Well, it’s a semi-monthly, fan-funded, sort-of superhero adventure co-created/co-written by me and Sara Century, co-created and drawn by Pat Kennedy and Dean Kotz, with letters by Chas! Pangburn, and edits from Priya Saxena, with love and support from many friends. It’s a DIY comic that harkens back to the comics we dug.
When a group of early ‘00s Miami punks are cursed with terrifying new abilities, they must escape the shadowy organization that sparked the process - but are they jumping from something bad to something worse?
Then, in the present, our teens are all grown up - and desperate to put their past trauma behind them. But when a familiar evil rears its head, can these old friends reunite in time to stop it?

This issue marks the debut of co-creator/artist Dean Kotz, who I had the pleasure of working with on The Awakened, and who has stepped in to join the TFF team as a regular contributor!
Again, TFF is a completely fan-funded comic. If we don’t have support from readers, we can’t create the story. This is very much a passion project for me, Sara, Dean, Pat, and the entire team. We love doing it and will do it as long as we’re able. So please spread the word and bring your friends! We’re trying to create a long, winding, and compelling story in the vein of the comics we loved as teens - like Claremont’s X-Men, Bronze Age Legion, and Jaime’s Locas stories in Love & Rockets.
